ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The ice skating boot comprises an integral toe portion (1) present as injection molded article. It com- prises recessed derby areas (6, 7) and is mounted to the shoe upper (8) by means of a derby connection (18), which is made of sewn seams or rivets. The tongue (19) is also sewn to the toe portion (1). The toe portion is, for instance, black and not translucent. It can be burled and carry the name of the manufacturer. The insole may be inserted into the toe cap (1) without any pinched pincers. Because the toe portion is an integral article, a plurality of expensive production steps in the cost consuming pinching section of the production plant can be done away with. Also, less manufacturing steps altogether are necessary. The derby connection (18) is recessed and, accordingly, protected. The integral toe portion incor- porates no capillary effect for water to enter into the boot.
