[PROBLEMS] To break ice in a waterway by a simple structure. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] An icebreaker body (16), where an elastic film body (18) is fixed with metallic members on a wall surface (14) of a canal (10), is provided near a gate. When ice (36) is formed near the surface of water (34) in the canal (10), air from a compressor (32) is fed to the elastic film body (18) to swell it. The ice (36) is pressed by the swollen elastic film body (18) and broken, so that the gate can be freely opened and closed.

La présente invention a pour but de briser la glace dans une voie navigable à l'aide d'une structure simple. Pour ce faire, un corps de brise-glace (16) comprenant un corps en film élastique (18) fixé à l'aide d'éléments métalliques sur la surface d'une paroi (14) d'un canal (10) est placé à proximité d'une porte. Lorsque de la glace (36) se forme à proximité de la surface de l'eau (34) dans le canal (10), de l'air contenu dans un compresseur (32) est injecté dans le corps en film élastique (18) afin que ce dernier soit gonflé. La glace (36) est alors compressée par le corps en film élastique gonflé (18) puis brisée, ce qui permet à la porte d'être ouverte et fermée librement.
