A remote electrical appliance identification tag, named Ident-A-Cord and comprised of a rigid clip, and a rigid frame extending from said clip in a direction away from the plane of said clip. The rigid clip is comprised of two arms which do not intersect but are sufficently close so as to hold an electrical cord male end. The opening at the mouth of the clip provides sufficient resistance such that the clip is forced around the electrical cord and will not allow the cord to fall out on its own. The rigid frame is comprised of a rigid back which is attached to the arms of the clip at the base of the back and extends in a direction away from the plane of the clip such that the frame may be attached to a wall and the arms of the clip remain parallel with the ground. The purpose of Ident-A-Cord is to provide an easy way to identify to which appliance an electrical cord is attached, when viewed from the male end of the cord, and near an electrical outlet. When more than one appliance is in use around a particular outlet all of the cords are tend to become tangled together in a pile. The Ident-A-Cord is fixed to the wall near an electrical outlet. By placing the various male ends of the cords into the appropriately labeled Ident-A-Cords' it is fast and easy to determine which cord to grab for your next task.
