Disclosed is a security document (11) having at least one paper ply (4) that is covered on both sides with a transparent plastic layer (2, 13). Disclosed is also a jacket made of transparent synthetic material, which can be used to produce said security document (11). Substantial increase in security, particularly in the production and issuance of said security document (11), can be achieved due to the fact that the paper ply (4) is a security paper with at least one security characteristic (5, 8, 10, 15, 16) and the plastic layers (2, 13) are a sleeve made of thermoplastic material that is molten into a transparent sleeve (13) by applying only high pressure and/or temperature, wherein an edge area (14) is available at least in certain segments, in which the plastic layers (2, 13) are directly adjacent to one another and wherein at least one of the plastic layers has at least one security characteristic (3, 7).
L'invention concerne un document de sécurité (11) comportant au moins une couche de papier (4) revêtue, sur ses deux côtés, d'une couche de matière plastique transparente (2, 13). L'invention concerne également une pochette en matière plastique transparente pouvant être utilisée pour la production d'un tel document de sécurité (11). L'objectif de l'invention est d'accroître sensiblement la sécurité, notamment lors de la production et de l'émission d'un tel document de sécurité (11). A cet effet, la couche de papier (4) est constituée d'un papier de sécurité comportant au moins une caractéristique de sécurité (5, 8, 10, 15, 16). En outre, les couches de matière plastique (2, 13) sont formées par une pochette en matériau thermoplastique que l'on fait fondre pour obtenir une enveloppe transparente (13) en appliquant seulement une pression élevée et/ou une température élevée. Au moins une partie de cette enveloppe présente une zone de bordure (14) dans laquelle les couches de matière plastique (2,13) sont directement adjacentes, au moins une des couches de matière plastique présentant au moins une caractéristique de sécurité (3,7).
