The invention relates to a method for producing and processing an image on a card substrate of an identification card, said method comprising the following steps: a colour image is printed on a surface of the card substrate by means of a printer; the surface of the printed image is optically scanned, and individual image components of the printed image, which differ from each other in the colour characteristics thereof, are identified by means of an optical identification and evaluation unit; co-ordinates of boundary lines, arranged between the identified image components and representing the contours of the image components, are calculated by means of a calculation unit; and the card substrate material beneath the surface of a surface layer of the card substrate is heated in a linear manner along the boundary line by displacing a laser along the surface plane of the card substrate using the calculated co- ordinates. An identification card comprising a colour image is displayed.
L'invention concerne un procédé pour produire et traiter une image sur un substrat de carte d'une carte d'identité. Le procédé selon l'invention comprend les étapes qui consistent : à imprimer une image couleur sur une surface de la carte d'identité au moyen d'une imprimante ; à balayer optiquement la surface de l'image imprimée, et à détecter des composants individuels de l'image imprimée dont les caractéristiques chromatiques diffèrent les unes des autres, à l'aide d'une unité de détection et d'évaluation ; à calculer des coordonnées des lignes limite qui sont disposées entre lesdits composants détectés, et qui représentent les contours des composants, à l'aide d'une unité de calcul, et ; à chauffer linéairement le matériau du substrat de carte, en dessous de la surface d'une couche de surface du substrat de carte, le long des lignes limite, par déplacement d'un laser le long des plans de surface du substrat de carte au moyen des coordonnées calculées. Cette invention concerne en outre une carte d'identité pourvue d'une image couleur.
