ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An identification device for articles of eyewear is mounted on one of the temple pieces of the article of eyewear for it to be moveable in unison with that temple piece from a position in which it is located behind a main frame of the eyewear, and an outwardly hinged position of the temple piece in which the identification device lies substantially parallel to the temple of a person wearing the eyewear.
