There are disclosed herein antigenic structures useful in producing vaccines against and compounds helpful in combating diseases caused by the bacterium Moraxella catarrhalis. Disclosed are specific structures of the carbohydrate molecules derived from genetically engineered strains of Moraxella catarrhalis, which when presented appropriately to the immune system will facilitate a functional immune response to the target core oligosaccharide region.
L'invention concerne des structures antigéniques utiles dans la production de vaccins et de composés contre des maladies causées par la bactérie Moraxella catarrhalis. L'invention concerne également des structures spécifiques des molécules glucidiques issues de souches génétiquement modifiées de Moraxella catarrhalis qui, lorsqu'elles sont présentées de façon idoine au système immunitaire, favorisent une réponse immunitaire fonctionnelle à la zone d'oligosaccharide à noyau cible.
