This invention provides an isolated nucleic acid molecule encoding a SEL-12. This invention further provides an isolated nucleic acid molecule which encodes a mutated SEL-12. This invention also provides an isolated nucleic acid molecule which encodes a mutated SEL-12, wherein the mutated SEL-12 contains at least one of the following: position 115 is a leucine, position 132 is an arginine, position 215 is a glutamic acid, position 229 is a valine, position 254 is a valine, position 255 is a valine, position 371 is a valine, position 387 is a tyrosine, position 104 is an isoleucine or position 204 is a valine. This invention further provides different uses of these nucleic acid molecules. This invention also provides different sel-12 mutants and transgenic animals which carry wild-type or mutated sel-12.
L'invention concerne un acide nucléique isolé codant pour la protéine SEL-12. L'invention concerne en outre une molécule isolée d'acide nucléique qui code pour une protéine mutée SEL-12. Cette invention concerne également une molécule d'acide nucléique isolé qui code pour une protéine SEL-12 mutée. La protéine SEL-12 mutée contient au moins une des caractéristiques suivantes: leucine en position 115, arginine en position 132, acide glutamique en position 215, valine en position 229, valine en position 254, valine en position 255, valine en position 371, tyrosine en position 387, isoleucine en position 104 ou valine en position 204. Cette invention concerne en outre différentes utilisations de ces molécules d'acide nucléique. Cette invention concerne également différents mutants de sel-12 et des animaux transgéniques avec sel-12 sous forme native ou mutée.
