The present invention provides isolated peptides relating to the autoimmune disease pemphigus vulgaris. The peptides relating to pemphigus vulgaris are self epitopes derived from human pathogens which are implicated in the aetiology and remissions of the disease. Pharmaceutical preparations for tolerizing and/or immunizing individuals are provided as well as methods relating thereto. Methods are provided for identifying other self and non-self epitopes involved in human autoimmune disease and similar pharmaceutical preparations and methods of use for these epitopes are also provided.

La présente invention concerne des peptides isolés liés à la maladie auto-immune pemphigus vulgaris. Les peptides liés à pemphigus vulgaris sont des épitopes autologues dérivés de pathogènes humains impliqués dans l'étiologie et la rémission de la maladie. L'invention porte aussi sur des préparations pharmaceutiques destinées à rendre des individus tolérants et/ou à les immuniser ainsi que sur des procédés correspondants. L'invention concerne aussi des procédés pour identifier d'autres épitopes autologues ou non autologues impliqués des maladies auto-immunes humaines ainsi que des préparations pharmaceutiques similaires et des procédés pour utiliser ces épitopes.
