The invention relates to an identification or authorisation method using a system including at least one sensor (2) for acquiring biometric data and a secure module (4) storing a digital data set (c1,..., CN) obtained from a respective set of biometric data (b1,..., bN) by means of a digitisation algorithm (F). According to said method, a biometric datum (b') acquired by the sensor is obtained; a digital value (c') is obtained by applying the digitisation algorithm to the acquired biometric datum; at least some of the digital data of said digital data set are classified in the secure module according to the proximity of said data to the obtained digital value; and a biometric datum (bN) is obtained from said set of biometric data taking into account a position of the corresponding digital datum in the classification.

Procédé d'identification ou d'autorisation utilisant un système comprenant au moins un capteur (2) pour acquérir des données biométriques et un module sécurisé (4) stockant un ensemble de données numériques (C1.... C N) obtenues à partir d'un ensemble de données biométriques (b1,.... b N) respectives à l'aide d'un algorithme de numérisation (.PHI.). Selon ce procédé, on obtient une donnée biométrique (b') acquise par le capteur; on obtient une valeur numérique (c') par application de l'algorithme de numérisation à la donnée biométrique acquise; on classe, au sein du module sécurisé, certaines au moins des données numériques dudit ensemble de données numériques en fonction de leur proximité avec la valeur numérique obtenue; et on obtient une donnée biométrique (bu) dudit ensemble de données biométriques en tenant compte d'une position de la donnée numérique correspondante au sein du classement.
