A method for granting a mobile station permission to attempt to identify a cell of a first radio access technology (RAT) while being served by a cell of a second RAT. The mobile station receives a list of neighbour cells of the second RAT. The list contains at least one identifying characteristic associated with at least one cell of the first RAT. The mobile station identifies at least one cell of the first RAT associated with the at least one identifying characteristic.

La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant d'autoriser une station mobile à tenter d'identifier une première technologie d'accès radio ou "RAT" (Radio Access Technology) tout en étant desservie par une cellule utilisant une autre RAT. La station mobile reçoit une liste de cellules voisines utilisant l'autre RAT. Cette liste contient au moins une caractéristique identifiante associée à au moins une cellule de la première RAT. La station mobile identifie au moins une cellule utilisant la première RAT associée à la caractéristique identifiante considérée.
