An ignition coil (10) having a core (14) with a first leg (24) and a second leg (26), a first primary winding arranged over the first leg (24), a second primary winding arranged over the second leg (26), a first secondary winding (16) arranged over the first primary winding, a second secondary winding (18) arranged over the second primary winding, and a spark plug terminal (20) electrically connected to one end of the second secondary winding (18). The first primary winding is connected in series to the second primary winding. The first secondary winding (16) is connected in series to the second secondary winding (18). The core (14) is of laminated steel construction. The first and second secondary windings (16, 18) are progressively wound in multiple layers over respective bobbins (34, 38).

L'invention concerne une bobine d'allumage (10) possédant un noyau (14) doté d'une première branche (24) et d'une deuxième branche, d'un premier enroulement primaire agencé sur la première branche (24), d'un deuxième enroulement primaire agencé sur la deuxième branche (26), un premier enroulement secondaire (16) agencé sur le premier enroulement primaire, un deuxième enroulement secondaire (18) agencé sur le deuxième enroulement primaire, et une borne de bougie (20) reliée de manière électrique à une extrémité du deuxième enroulement secondaire (18).
