An ignition switch arrangement for a gas ignition gun including a handle having a flame tube at one end, an ignition control switch mounted in the handle and operated to set on fire, the ignition control switch having a notch at an inner end thereof, a locking lever pivoted to the handle and turned to lock/unlock the ignition control switch, the locking lever having a finger strip at one end extended out of the handle for turning by hand and a retaining tip at an opposite end for engagement with the retaining notch at the ignition control switch, and a spring leaf securely mounted in the handle and stopped at the locking lever to force the retaining tip of the locking lever into the retaining notch at the ignition control switch in stopping the ignition control switch from operation.
