In a thermal engine or a plasma apparatus, for example, a reciprocating engine, a rotary engine, a jet engine, or a gas turbine, even when the proportion of a fuel in a fuel-air mixture is reduced followed by a combustion reaction of a lean mixture, a stable and high-efficiency combustion reaction can be realized to realize stabilized ignition, improved flame propagation speed, improved output, cleaned exhaust gas, stabilized ignition of heterogeneous fuel-air mixture, improved fuel consumption and the like. Permittivity control means for introducing water and/or exhaust gas into a combustion reaction chamber (8) to control the permittivity of a fuel-air mixture within the combustion reaction chamber (8), a microwave radiation antenna (1) for radiating microwaves into the combustion reaction chamber (8), and discharge part (2) for igniting a fuel-air mixture in the combustion reaction chamber (8) are provided. The permittivity control means controls the permittivity of the fuel-air mixture before the combustion reaction of the fuel-air mixture to match the resonance frequency of the fuel-air mixture with the frequency of the microwave.

Des moyens de commande de constante diélectrique permettant d'introduire de l'eau et/ou un gaz d'échappement dans une chambre de réaction de combustion (8) pour commander la constante diélectrique d'un mélange carburé à l'intérieur de la chambre de réaction de combustion (8), une antenne de rayonnement à hyperfréquences (1) permettant d'émettre des rayonnements de micro-ondes dans la chambre de réaction de combustion (8), et une partie de décharge (2) permettant d'allumer un mélange carburé dans la chambre de réaction de combustion (8) sont fournis. Les moyens de commande de constante diélectrique commandent la constante diélectrique du mélange carburé avant la réaction de combustion du mélange carburé pour faire correspondre la fréquence de résonance du mélange carburé à la fréquence de la micro-onde.
