ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A multi-functional electromechanical vehicular switch having a linear ignition switch and a headlamp dimmer combined in a single unit. The ignition switch is constructed as a conventional design. The headlight dimmer employs a self-adjusting mechanism to insure the actuator gear remains in contact with a rack through a biased action if the rack over travels the partial gear of the dimmer mechanism.
