Abstract of the Disclosure An ignition timing control device for a spark ignition system for use in an internal combustion engine having two or more spark plugs in each cylinder and means for recirculating exhaust gases into the mixture supply system of the engine at a controlled rate, comprising a spark advance control mechanism responsive to vacuum developed in the mixture supply system and to variation in the exhaust-gas recirculation percentage for con- trolling the spark advance in accordance with the load on the engine and the rate at which the exhaust gases are recirculated into the mixture supply system. - 1 -
