An ignitor includes a first transistor, a transformer, an ignition member, and a switching control member. The first transistor is activated in accordance with supply from a DC power supply to perform switching. The transformer has a primary winding through which a switching current flows via the first transistor, a secondary winding for generating high voltage when the switching current flows through the first winding, and a tertiary winding for generating a control output for controlling the switching of the first transistor in accordance with the high voltage generated in the secondary winding. The ignition member ignites a target object using the high voltage generated in the secondary winding of the transformer. The switching control member prolongs the ON time for the switching of the first transistor in accordance with a decrease in at least one of the ambient temperature and the power supply voltage.

La présente invention a pour objet un dispositif d'allumage comportant un premier transistor, un transformateur, un allumeur et une commande de commutation. Le premier transistor est activé en fonction de la tension provenant d'une source d'alimentation de courant continu aux fins de commutation. Le transformateur comporte un enroulement primaire à travers lequel circule le courant de commutation au sortir du premier transistor, un enroulement secondaire pour générer une tension élevée lorsque le courant de commutation circule dans le premier enroulement, et un troisième enroulement pour générer une tension de commande aux fins de contrôle de la commutation au niveau du premier transistor et en fonction de la haute tension générée dans le deuxième enroulement. Le dispositif d'allumage allume un objet cible en utilisant le courant de haute tension généré à l'intérieur du deuxième enroulement du transformateur. La commande de commutation prolonge la durée de commutation au niveau du premier transistor en fonction d'une baisse soit de la température ambiante, soit de la tension d'alimentation.
