This invention relates to novel spiro containing compounds of Formula (I), and compositions thereof, useful in the treatment of diesease states mediated by the chemokine, Interleukin-8 (IL-8). Compounds of Formula (I) are represented, interalia, by structure (I) wherein, R is -NH -C(X)-NH- (CR13R14)v-Z; Z is optionally substituted phenyl or naphtyl, optionally substituted heteroaryl, optionally substituted C5-8 cycloalkyl, optionally substituted C1-10 alkyl, optionally substituted C2-10 alkenyl, or an optionally substituted C2-10 alkynyl; X is =O, or =S; A is carbon which is contained within a 3-7 membered spiro ring, which ring may optionally contain a heteroatom selected from O/N/S; v is 0, or an integer having a value of 1 to 4; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

Cette invention concerne de nouveaux composés de formule (I) contenant spiro, et leurs compositions, utiles dans le traitement d'états pathogènes induits par une chimiokine, l'interleukine 8 (IL-8). Les composés de formule (I) sont représentés, notamment, par la structure (I), dans laquelle, R représente -NH-C(X)-NH-(CR¿13?R¿14?)¿v?-Z; Z représentant phényle ou naphtyle éventuellement substitué, hétéroaryle éventuellement substitué, C¿5-8? cycloalkyle éventuellement substitué, C¿1-10? alkyle éventuellement substitué, C¿2-10? alcényle éventuellement substitué ou un C¿2-10? alkynyl éventuellement substitué; X représentant =O, ou =S; A représentant un carbone contenu à l'intérieur d'un noyau spiro comprenant 3 à 7 éléments, lequel noyau peut éventuellement contenir un hétéroatome sélectionné parmi O/N/S; v représentant 0, ou un entier compris entre 1 et 4; ou un de ses sels acceptable pharmaceutiquement.
