AN ILLUMINATED AERIAL MARKER ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An illuminated aerial marker for a high voltage transmission line (1) using a spherical colored opaque capacitor (20) with gas filled lamps (4) electrically connected, exterior to the capacitor with one electrode of the lamps connected to the high voltage source (1) and the other to the conductive area of the capacitor (20) or capacitors. The lamps (4) are spaced and sized to provide continuous light with nighttime conspicuity of at least 4,000 feet when the lamps are activated.
