An illuminated alpha-numeric display assembly includes a body and a plurality of lights shaped as individual alpha-numeric characters. The body has a linear array of conductive connection points. Each light has either male connectors or female connectors adapted for connection with one of the conductive connection points on the body. By connecting to the linear array of conductive connection points of the body in a sequential order a series of lights in the shape of alpha-numeric characters is able to create an alpha-numeric display. The display assembly is useful for building addresses, static signage, or advertising messages.
