The invention relates to an illuminating device which is arranged on motor vehicles and/or in the interior space of motor vehicles. The device comprises an electroluminescence layer structure having at least a first electrode layer, a dielectric layer, an electroluminescence illuminating layer and a transparent second electrode layer. The electroluminescence layer structure is arranged on a support and/or in a frame, and the electrode layers are connected to an alternating current control unit. The electroluminescence layer structure preferably forms a compact component with the support and/or frame, the alternating current control unit having components and a circuit arranged on a printed board, in addition to an optional transparent covering which covers the electroluminescence layer structure. Said control unit is connected to the support and/or simultaneously configured as a support for the electroluminescence layer structure.

L'invention concerne un dispositif d'éclairage placé sur des véhicules et/ou dans l'habitacle des véhicules. Ce dispositif comprend une structure multicouche électroluminescente composée au moins d'une première couche électrode, d'une couche diélectrique, d'une couche électroluminescente et d'une deuxième couche électrode transparente. Cette structure multicouche électroluminescente est placée sur un support et/ou dans un cadre. Les couches électrodes sont reliées à un dispositif de commande c.a. La structure multicouche électroluminescente, le support et/ou le cadre et le dispositif de commande c.a. constituent, de préférence, un module compact avec les composants implantés sur une carte à circuits imprimés, le câblage qui est relié au support et/ou simultanément conçu comme support de la structure multicouche électroluminescente, et l'éventuel revêtement transparent recouvrant la structure multicouche électroluminescente.
