A light source is positioned to direct light downward from the cover (12A) of a conventional analog or electro-optical watch, indicator gauge, a meter panel directional gauge or ornamentation display of an image, logo or design or other similar articles (1). These articles are illuminated by the source (12) for viewing in low light or in the dark by an illumination switch (6, 7) to activate said element. The light source (12) is preferably an LED and it is small enough so that when it is off, it is virtually invisible.
L'invention porte sur une source lumineuse positionnée de façon à diriger la lumière vers le bas à partir du couvercle (12A) d'une montre analogique ou électro-optique traditionnelle, d'un indicateur de niveau, d'une jauge directionnelle de tableau pour compteur ou d'un tableau d'ornement, d'un logotype ou autres articles (1) similaires. Ces articles sont éclairés par la source (12) de sorte qu'ils puissent être regardés dans la semi-obscurité ou dans l'obscurité en actionnant un commutateur (6, 7) qui active cet élément. La source lumineuse (12) est de préférence une diode électroluminescente qui est suffisamment petite pour être virtuellement invisible à l'arrêt.
