A multi colored image is applied to one face of a flat screen, the opposite face being of uniform dark color. The screen itself is made of opaque, intersecting, parallel filaments delimiting four sided openings. The width of the filaments of the two sets is about 1mm, and 0.5mm respectively. The image is applied to the filaments only so that light may pass through the screen openings. A velcro system secures the image bearing screen onto a glass panel, such as a store window with the image facing the outside of the store to form an advertising sign which is not visible from the inside of the store. The screen also serves as a sun shade. The paint to form the image is applied to the screen with a hand held spray gun, following the intended computer generated image projected on the screen. Preferably, instead of a spray gun, the computer controls an ink jet printer having three ink nozzles travelling along x-y coordinates in a plane parallel to the screen.
La présente invention a pour objet un support pour image polychrome appliquée sur une face d'un support plat, la face opposée étant de couleur foncée uniforme. Le support lui-même est composé de filaments opaques entrecroisés et disposés parallèlement, délimitant des ouvertures à quatre côtés. La largeur des filaments des deux séries de filaments est d'environ 1 mm et 0,5 mm, respectivement. L'image est appliquée aux filaments de telle sorte que la lumière puisse traverser les ouvertures dans l'écran. Des bandes Velcro permettent de fixer le support de l'image à un panneau de verre, telle une vitrine de magasin, l'image étant orientée vers l'extérieur du magasin pour servir d'enseigne publicitaire, celle-ci ne pouvant être vue de l'intérieur du magasin. Le support fait aussi office de store. La peinture composant l'image est appliquée sur le support à l'aide d'un pistolet à peinture tenu manuellement, conformément à une image projetée par ordinateur. De préférence, une imprimante à jet d'encre utilisant trois têtes à jet d'encre se déplaçant dans les axes y et x sur un plan parallèle au support sera utilisée plutôt qu'un pistolet à peinture tenu manuellement.
