ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An image display apparatus for displaying an image of an image source such as a cathode ray tube. A central portion of the image is displayed without reducing resolution of the image as a main image and a peripheral portion or the image is displayed around the main image with reducing a resolution or the image as a moderated image. The image with the moderated peripheral image is natural and does not induce fatigue of a viewer's eyes.
