One base point of view is selected from the whole multipoint-of-view image. When epipolar geometric constraint of the images of all the other cameras than the camera of the base point of view is considered, likely global parallax information is determined and encoded. Meanwhile when epipolar geometric constraint of the images of all the other cameras than the image of each of the cameras except for the camera of the base point of view is considered with reference to the global parallax information and the camera parameters, likely base parallax information is created. To present information on the parallax between the image of the each camera and an encoded reference point-of-view image used for parallax compensation, correction parallax information for correcting the base parallax information is determined and encoded. By using the parallax information obtained by correcting base parallax information with the correction parallax information, the image of the camera is encoded. Such an image encoding method is provided.
On choisit un point de vue de base dans toute l'image à multipoint de vue. Lorsque l'on considère une contrainte géométrique épipolaire des images de toutes les caméras autres que celle du point de vue de base, on détermine et on code les informations de parallaxe globale probable.
