A dichroic type narrow-band-pass filter is used as a beamsplitter (502) inside a night vision goggle eyepiece. The filter (502) is combined with appropriately aligned polarizers (504,506) and liquid crystal type shutter rotators (508,510) movable between a "P" orientation and an "S" orientation to transmit center band and side band wavelengths of the normal view or night scene for recording, transmitting or enhancing. In the enhanced low light level mode, the intensified visible image presented to the user comprises a 40 degree circular image with a 30 degree by 22.5 degree rectangular insert.
L'invention concerne un filtre passe-bande étroit de type dichroïque utilisé en tant que séparateur de faisceau dans un oculaire de lunettes de vision nocturne. Le filtre est combiné à des polariseurs alignés de façon appropriée et des rotateurs d'obturateur à cristaux liquides mobiles entre une orientation <= P >= et une orientation <= S >= destinés à transmettre des longueurs d'onde de bandes centrale et latérale de la vue normale ou nocturne afin de l'enregistrer, de la transmettre ou de l'améliorer.
