An image processor for observing optical fibers, which is used by being built in a system of a fusing/connecting apparatus of optical fibers, and which is capable of outputting signals of images from a television camera (1) to a television monitor (2), processing the images from the television camera (1) and outputting desired information about the optical fibers (4a, 4b) shown on the images. This image processor is provided with a scanning/conversion unit (5) capable of turning 90~ the images from the television camera (1) and outputting them to the television monitor (2). Therefore, the images shot by the television camera placed vertically can be converted by 90~ and received on the television monitor placed horizontally.

L'invention concerne un processeur d'images permettant d'observer les fibres optiques, lequel processeur est utilisé intégré dans un système d'appareil de fusion/connexion de fibres optiques. Ledit processeur est capable de produire en sortie des signaux d'images provenant d'une caméra (1) de télévision vers un moniteur (2) de télévision; de traiter les images provenant de la caméra (1) de télévision et de produire des informations voulues au sujet des fibres optiques (4a, 4b) apparaissant sur les images. Le processeur d'images est pourvu d'une unité (5) de balayage/transformation capable de faire tourner à 90· les images provenant de la caméra (1) de télévision et de les reproduire en sortie sur le moniteur (2) de télévision. Ainsi, les images prises par la caméra (1) de télévision placée verticalement peuvent être tournées de 90· et donc reçues sur le moniteur de télévision placé horizontalement.
