Abstract of the disclosure A suitable mordaning polymer for the image receiving layer in a color photographic material for the dye diffusion transfer process is a water-soluble cationic polymer containing glycidyl groups. Such polymers can be made by quaternizing a basic polyurethane, polyurea or polyurea polyurethane of the formula - [- A - B -] - with a quaternizing agent capable of introducing glycidyl groups. The recurring unit contains a quaternizable tertiary amino group, and the recurring unit B is derived from a bis-chloroformate or a diisocyanate.
