A book support apparatus for use with a copier machine having a scanner that has a top support surface and including a housing having a top, horizontally disposed planar opened wall constructed and arranged for receiving and supporting a glass sheet upon which a page is placed for copying, a sloping sidewall having an edge contiguous with an edge of the top wall and extending downwardly and outwardly at an angle from the top planar wall. The housing is mounted in a position in which it overlies the top support surface by at least a predetermined fixed distance. The scanner is supported to be moved in a plane at a position below and along the housing top wall and is adapted for raising and lowering the scanner between a lowermost home position under the sloping sidewall and an elevated position during the planar movement of the scanner.
L'invention concerne un appareil de support de livre pour une utilisation avec un photocopieur ayant un scanner qui a une surface de support supérieure et comprenant un boîtier ayant une paroi supérieure ouverte planaire disposée horizontalement construite et agencée pour recevoir et supporter une plaque de verre sur laquelle une page est placée pour être photocopiée, une paroi latérale pentue ayant une bordure contiguë à une bordure de la paroi supérieure et s'étendant vers le bas et vers l'extérieur selon un certain angle depuis la paroi planaire supérieure. Le boîtier est monté dans une position dans laquelle il recouvre la surface de support supérieure sur au moins une distance fixe prédéterminée. Le scanner est supporté pour être déplacé dans un plan à une position en dessous et le long de la paroi supérieure de boîtier et est adapté à relever et abaisser le scanner entre une position d'origine la plus basse sous la paroi latérale pentue et une position élevée pendant le mouvement planaire du scanner.
