A device and method for modifying content for use on a mobile electronic device. The content includes (i) a plurality of content image files each including graphics information for generating an associated image and (ii) computer instructions including references to the plurality of image files for causing the associated images to be displayed on a display screen. A plurality of image files are selected from the content that can be combined together to form a single image file that will have a smaller file size than the sum of the file sizes of the selected image files. The selected image files are combined into a single merged image file. The computer instructions are amended to accommodate the merged image file.
Un dispositif et une méthode pour modifier un contenu de données pour servir sur un appareil électronique portatif. Ce contenu comprend i) un ensemble de fichiers d'images, chacun comportant des donnes graphiques pour la génération d'une image associée; ii) des instructions- machine comprenant des références à l'ensemble de fichiers d'images, permettant aux images en question d'être affichées sur un écran. Plusieurs fichiers d'images sont sélectionnés du contenu et peuvent être combinés de façon à former un seul fichier d'images, fichier qui sera plus petit que la somme des fichiers des images choisies. Les fichiers d'images sont combinés en un seul fichier d'images fusionné. Les instructions-machine sont modifiées pour accepter le fichier d'images fusionné.
