-0- IMAGEWISE ACCELERATING EQUILIBRATION IN ULTRASONOGRAPHIC RECORDING Abstract of the Disclosure A process is disclosed for recording an ultrasonic exposure pattern employing an ultrasonographic element containing a support and a recording layer unit. The re- cording layer unit is placed into contact with a transport liquid and imagewise ultrasonically exposed to accelerate imagewise diffusion from the recording layer unit to the transport liquid, thereby producing in the recording layer unit an ultrasonographic record. Diffusion is further accelerated imagewise by establishing a temperature differ- ential within the transport liquid adjacent the recording layer unit.
