Imaging agents of formula (I) and methods for detecting neurological disorders comprising administering ti a patient in need compounds of formula (I) capable of binding to tau proteins and .beta.- amyloid peptides are presented herein. The invention also relates to methods of imaging A.beta. and tau aggregates comprising introducing a detectable quantity of pharmaceutical formulation comprising a radiolabeled compound of formula (I) and detecting the labeled compound associated with amyloid deposits and/or tau proteins in a patient. These methods and compositions enable preclinical diagnosis and monitoring progression of AD and other neurological disoders.
L'invention concerne des agents d'imagerie de formule (I) et des procédés pour détecter des troubles neurologiques comprenant l'administration à un patient le nécessitant de composés de formule (I) capables de se lier aux protéines tau et aux peptides ß-amyloïdes. L'invention concerne également des procédés d'imagerie d'Aß et d'agrégats de tau comprenant l'introduction d'une quantité détectable d'une formulation pharmaceutique comprenant un composé radiomarqué de formule (I) et la détection du composé marqué associé aux dépôts amyloïdes et/ou aux protéines tau chez un patient. Ces procédés et compositions permettent le diagnostic préclinique et le suivi de l'évolution de la MA et d'autres troubles neurologiques.
