A method of providing image information regarding primary eyewear to a remote production center where secondary eyewear is to be produced based thereon. The method comprises the steps of obtaining with an imaging device an image of the primary eyewear suitable for obtaining therefrom image data indicative of a least one geometric characteristic of the primary eyewear, providing to the production center reference data associated with the primary eyewear, and transmitting the image data via an external communication means to the production center for production there of the secondary eyewear based on the image and reference data. The reference data is representative of at least one reference dimension.
L'invention concerne un procédé de transmission d'informations d'image associées à une première paire de verres optiques à un centre de production destiné à produire une seconde paire de verres optiques à partir desdites informations. Le procédé consiste à obtenir à l'aide d'un dispositif d'imagerie une image de la première paire de verres optiques permettant d'obtenir des données d'image indiquant au moins une caractéristique géométrique de la première paire de verres optiques, à transmettre au centre de production des données de référence associées à la première paire de verres optiques, et à transmettre les données d'image via un moyen de communication externe au centre de production pour la production de la seconde paire de verres optiques à partir des données d'image et de référence. Les données de référence représentent au moins une dimension de référence.
