An imaging spectrometer to form a spectrally resolved image of an object, the spectrometer comprising three curved reflecting surfaces, an optical path between the object and the image comprising reflections from the three curved reflecting surfaces. The spectrometer further comprises dispersing elements each with a curved surface in the optical path. One dispersing element is located in the optical path between the object and a first of the curved reflecting surfaces; another dispersing element is located in the optical path between the image and a third of the curved reflecting surfaces. The majority of the spectrometer's dispersive power may be provided by optical elements in the optical paths between the object and the first of the curved reflecting surfaces and between the image and the third of the curved reflecting surfaces.

L'invention concerne un spectromètre d'imagerie permettant de former une image à résolution spectrale d'un objet. Ce spectromètre comporte trois surfaces réfléchissantes courbes, un chemin optique entre l'objet et l'image étant formé par le rayonnement renvoyé par les trois surfaces réfléchissantes. Le spectromètre comprend également des éléments dispersifs situés dans le chemin optique, chacun comportant une surface courbe. On place un élément dispersif dans le chemin optique, entre l'objet et une première surface réfléchissante courbe, un autre élément dispersif étant placé dans le chemin optique, entre l'image et une troisième surface réfléchissante courbe. La majeure partie du pouvoir dispersif du spectromètre peut provenir d'éléments optiques situés dans le chemin optique, entre l'objet et la première des surfaces réfléchissantes courbes, ainsi qu'entre l'image et la troisième des surfaces réfléchissantes courbes.
