A B S T R A C T The invention relates to imidazo[l,2-a]pyrazines of the general formula Image (wherein the substituents R2,R3,R4 and R5 are as defined in the specification) and includes 2,3-dihydro-, 5,6,7,8- tetrahydro-, 2,3,5,6,7,8-hexahydro-analogues and salts of such compounds. The invention also relates to processes for preparing such compounds and to phacmaceutical compo- sitions containing them. The compounds are antisecretory and cytoprotective agents and are particularly useful in the treatment of ulcer diseases.
