ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: The invention relates to new compounds of formula (I) Image (I) wherein R1 represents a 1,2,4-oxadiazol-5-yl or 1,3,4-thia- diazol-2-yl group optionally substituted by a C1-3 alkyl or C2-5 alkenyl group, or a 1,2,4-oxadiazol-3-yl or 1,3,4- oxadiazol-2-yl group optionally substituted by a C1-3 alkyl group (which alkyl group may itself be optionally substituted by one or more fluorine atoms) or by a C2-5 alkenyl group; R2 and R3, which may be the same or different, each represents a hydrogen atom or a C1-3 alkyl of C2-5 alkenyl group, or R2 and R3 together represent a C3-5 alkylene group; X represents an oxygen or sulphur atom; and R4 represents a C1-3 alkyl group, and to their pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts. These new compounds have valuable pharmacological properties, especially a remarkable anxiolytic activity and in some cases sedative and hypnotic properties. A process for preparing these new compounds is also disclosed.
