ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: The invention relates to a process for preparing compounds of formula (I): Image (I) (wherein R represents a C6-12 aryl group; R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a C1-5 alkyl, C1-5 alkoxy or C1-5 alkyl- thio group and R2 and R3 together represent a carbon- nitrogen bond, or R1 and R2 together represent a ketonic oxygen atom and R3 represents a hydrogen atom or a C1-5 alkyl or a C2-5 alkenyl group; R4 represents a C1-5 alkoxy or alkylthio group; and R5 represents a hydrogen atom or a C1-5 alkyl group) and acid addition salts thereof. The invention also relates to new compounds obtained with this process, said compounds having valuable pharmacological properties, especially in the treatment of anxiety.
