- 44 - ABSTRACT A compound which is an imidazo[2,1-b]benzothiazole-3- acetamide derivative represented by formula (I) Image (I) in which X represents a hydrogen or halogen atom or a methyl, ethyl, propyl, methoxy, ethoxy, methylthio, methylsulfonyl, cyano or aminocarbonyl group, R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a C1-C4 alkyl group, R2 represents a hydrogen atom or a straight-chain, branched or cyclic C1-C5 alkyl group, which is optionally substituted by one or more fluorine atoms, by a methoxy group, by a dimethylamino group or by a phenyl group, or a prop-2-enyl group, or a prop-2-ynyl group, or a phenyl group, or R1 and R2 form together, and with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached, a pyrrolidin-1-yl, piperidin-1-yl, hexahydroazepin-1-yl, 4-(phenylmethyl)piperidin-1-yl, 4- methylpiperazin-1-yl, 4-(phenylmethyl)piperazin-1-yl, morpholin-1-yl or thiomorpholin-1-yl group.
