Abstract of the Disclosure The present invention relates to new organic compounds and pro- cesses for preparing the1n. In particular the present invention is concerned with novel substituted imidazo[1,5-d]-as-triazin-4(3H)-ones and thiones as represented by the structural formula: Image wherein X is divalent oxygen or divalent sulfur; R1 is hydrogen, alkyl C1-C3, bromo, chloro, iodo or haloalkyl C1-C3; R2 is hydrogen, alkyl C1-C6, cyclo- alkyl C3-C6, methoxymethyl, benzyl, naphthyl, or phenyl optionally substituted with halogen, alkyl C1-C4, alkoxy C1-C4, haloalkyl C1-C3, amino, dialkylamino and nitro; R3 is selected from the group conslsting of hydrogen, alkyl C1-C3, alkenyl C3-C4 and alkynyl C3-C4;. R4 is selected from the group consisting or hydrogen and alkyl C1-C3. The above novel compounds are useful in inhibiting the enzyme cyclic -AMP phosphodiesterase.
