ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention is directed to new imidazole- copper complex compounds of the formula: Image wherein R1, R2, R3 and R4 are identical or different and each denotes hydrogen or unsubstituted alkyl, phenyl, imidazolyl and aralkyl or substituted by one of the following groups: amino, cyano, lower alkyl, lower dialkylamino, N-phenyl-N- benzylamino, methoxy, hydroxy, pyrrolidyl, morpholinyl and piperidinyl, and R4 may additionally denote nitro, cyano or carboxy, and X denotes the anion of a mineral or lower fatty acid selected from the group consisting of formic acid, acetic acid, propionic acid, oxalic acid, tartaric acid, ascorbic acid and citric acid. The above compounds have a good fungicidal action, more particularly on phytopathogenic fungi. This invention relates also to the fungicides containing these com- pounds as active ingredients processes for their manufacture and their use for combating fungi.
