ABSTRACT IMIDAZOLES, THEIR PREPARATION AND THEIR USE AS FUNGICIDES The invention provides imidazoles of general formula Image (I) and acid-addition salts thereof, wherein R represents an optionally substituted phenyl group, R1 represents an optionally substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkenyl, aryl or aralkyl group, R2 represents a hydrogen atom, a cyano group, a -CONH2 group, or an optionally substituted alkyl group, and X represents an oxygen atom or a =NOR3 moiety where R3 is a hydrogen atom or an optionally substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkenyl, alkylcarbonyl, aryl or aralkyl group; processes for their preparation, and their use as fungicides.
