This invention provides a compound of the formula (I): (I) 5 wherein Rl represents a hydrogen atom or a halogen atom; R2 represents a methyl group or an ethyl group; R3 represents a branched alkyl group having from 3 to 6 carbon atoms or an alkyl group having from 3 to 6 carbon atoms substituted by an alkoxy group having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms; with the proviso that when the terminal carbon atom of said alkyl group is substituted by said alkoxy goroup, said alkyl group is a branched alkyl group; and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. These compounds have 5-HT4 receptor binding activity, and thus are usefulfor the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease, non-ulcer dyspepsia, functional dyspepsia, irritable bowel syndrome or the like in mammalian, especially humans. This invention also provides a pharmaceutical composition comprising the above compound.
L'invention concerne un composé de la formule (I), dans laquelle R?1¿ représente un atome d'hydrogène ou un atome d'halogène ; R?2¿ représente un groupe méthyle ou un groupe éthyle ; R?3¿ représente un groupe alkyle ramifié ayant 3 à 6 atomes de carbone ou un groupe alkyle ayant 3 à 6 atomes de carbone substitué par un groupe alcoxy ayant 1 à 6 atomes de carbone ; pour autant que lorsque l'atome de carbone terminal dudit groupe alkyle est substitué par ledit groupe alcoxy, ledit groupe alkyle soit un groupe alkyle ramifié ; ainsi que des sels pharmaceutiquement acceptables dudit composé. Ces composés, qui présentent une activité de liaison du récepteur 5-HT¿4?, sont utiles pour le traitement du reflux gastroesophagien pathologique, de la dyspepsie non ulcéreuse, de la dyspepsie fonctionnelle, du syndrome du côlon irritable ou analogue chez les mammifères, notamment les humains. L'invention concerne également une composition pharmaceutique renfermant ledit composé.
