Disclosed are a compound represented by the formula (I) below, and a method for producing such a compound. In the formula (I) below, X represents a halogen atom and R1 represents a -COR2 group, wherein R2 represents an OM group or a C1-12 alkyloxy group, with M representing a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal or a quaternary ammonium. By using this compound as a synthetic intermediate, a carbapenem derivative having excellent antibacterial activity can be efficiently and safely produced at low cost.

La présente invention décrit un composé de formule (I) ci-dessous, ainsi qu'une méthode de synthèse d'un tel composé. Dans la formule (I) ci-dessous, X représente un atome d'halogène et R1 représente un groupement -COR2, où R2 représente un groupement OM ou un groupement alkyloxy en C1-C12, M représentant un atome d'hydrogène, de métal alcalin ou de métal alcalino-terreux, ou un groupement ammonium quaternaire. L'emploi de ce composé au titre d'intermédiaire de synthèse permet de synthétiser de façon efficace, sûre et peu onéreuse un dérivé de carbapénème présentant une excellente activité antibactérienne.
