A B S T R A C T of the Disclosure New dicarboximides of the formula Image (I) wherein R represents a phenyl mono- to trisubstituted, identically or differently, by fluorine, chlorine, bromine, iodine, trifluoromethyl, nitro, cyano, C1-C4-alkyl, methoxy or methylthio, or monosubstituted by a methylenedioxy group, and Z1 and Z2 each represent hydrogen, or together with the carbon atoms to which they are bound they represent a carbon-carbon bond and their use for controling insects are disclosed.
