ABSTRACT OF DISCLOSURE A chelate of technetium-99m, cobalt-57, gallium-67, gallium-68, indium-111 or indium-113m and a substituted iminodiacetic acid or an 8-hydroxyquinoline useful as a radio-pharmaceutical external imaging agent. The invention also includes preparative methods therefor. This divisional application is particularly directed to the chelating agent N-{N'-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)carbamoylmethyl} iminodiacetic acid.
