ABSTRACT A method for immobilization of biochemical substances, particularly enzymes, which includes the following steps: - An olefin-unsaturated, epoxyfunctional polyether is applied to a carrier material in the form of a layer, - the polyether is cross-linked to form a large-mesh epoxyfunctional polymer matrix by means of high-energy radiation or using pernxide, - the layer is treated with an aqueous solution of the biochemical substance, whereby the biochemical substance is immobilized in the polymer matrix by reaction with epoxy groups, - the layer is stabilized by reaction of non-converted epoxy groups with a compound containing amino and/or carboxyl groups.
