Anti-idiotype antibodies, their production and their use in inducing immunological response to tumors are described. The antibody bears an internal image of an epitope present on a solid tumor cell, wherein said anti-idiotypic antibody: (a) immunoreacts through its parotope with a monoclonal antibody specific for said solid tumor cell epitope, and (b) will induce formation of anti-anti-idiotypic antibodies specific for said solid tumor cell epitope upon administration to a human.
