The present invention relates to a vaccine for inducing an immune response to an antigen in a vertebrate (e.g., mammal) comprising an antigen and all or a portion of a stress protein or all or a portion of a protein having an amino acid sequence sufficiently homologous to the amino acid sequence of the stress protein to induce the immune response against the antigen. In a particular embodiment, the present invention relates to vaccines and compositions which induce a CTL response in a mammal comprising an antigen and all or a portion of a stress protein. In another embodiment, the invention relates to vaccines and compositions which induce an immune response to an influenza virus in a mammal comprising an antigen of the influenza virus and all or a portion of one or more stress proteins. The invention also relates to vaccines and compositions for inducing a CTL response to a tumor-associated antigen comprising a tumor-associated antigen and all or a portion of the stress protein. The invention also relates to vaccines and composition for suppressing allergic immune responses to allergens comprising an allergen and all or a portion of a stress protein.
La présente invention concerne un vaccin, destiné à induire une réponse immune dirigée contre un antigène d'un vertébré (par exemple un mammifère), et comprenant un antigène ainsi que tout ou partie d'une protéine de stress ou tout ou partie d'une protéine possédant une séquence d'acides aminés suffisamment homologue à la séquence d'acides aminés de la protéine de stress, afin d'induire la réponse immunitaire dirigée contre l'antigène. Dans un mode de réalisation, l'invention concerne des vaccins et compositions induisant une réponse des lymphocytes T cytotoxiques (CTL) chez un mammifère et comprenant un antigène et tout ou partie d'une protéine de stress. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, l'invention concerne des vaccins et compositions induisant une réponse immune dirigée contre le virus de la grippe chez un mammifère et comprenant un antigène du virus de la grippe ainsi que tout ou partie d'une ou de plusieurs protéines de stress. L'invention concerne encore des vaccins et compositions destinés à induire une réponse des CTL à un antigène associé à une tumeur, et comprenant un antigène associé à cette tumeur ainsi que tout ou partie d'une protéine de stress, ainsi que des vaccins et compositions destinés à supprimer des réponse immunes allergiques à des allergènes et comprenant un allergène ainsi que tout ou partie d'une protéine de stress.
