Immunosuppressive compositions for photochemotherapy which contain as the active ingredient tetrapyrrole derivatives represented by general formula (I) or pharmacologically acceptable salts thereof wherein n is 1 or 2. Administration of the derivatives of general formula (I) or salts thereof as immunosuppressive agents in photochemotherapy makes it possible to prevent or treat abnormally supernumerary immune responses, for example, contact hypersensitivity or implant rejection reactions.

L'invention concerne des compositions immunodépressives de photochimiothérapie comprenant comme ingrédient actif des dérivés de tétrapyrrole représentés par la formule générale (I) suivante; ou des sels de ces dérivés acceptables du point de vue pharmacologique. Dans la formule selon l'invention, n représente 1 ou 2. L'administration de dérivés de la formule générale (I) ou de leurs sels comme agents immunodépresseurs en photochimiothérapie permet de prévenir ou de traiter des réponses immunitaires anormalement surnuméraires, par exemple des réactions d'hypersensibilité de contact ou de rejet d'implant.
