ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: There is disclosed an immunoglobulin-G-containing frac- tion from human or animal plasma which contains at least 90 % monomer IgG molecules as well as at least 95 % gammaglobulins and is suited for intravenous application. In order to provide such a fraction, which, in addition, is free of side effects in an optimum manner, the fraction contains at least 90 % functionally intact IgG molecules.
